Redline Pad for Desktop

Open documents directly from your own disk, .docx or PDF, tracked changes written back into the original document, and a comparison that runs with your network switched off. It keeps your settings and every comparison you have run, so it opens the way you left it.

A drawing of the desktop application: a schedule to a supply agreement opened from disk in two versions, compared side by side, with the redline in the third pane.

The same comparison

The same redline you can try right now

The desktop version compares your text exactly the way the browser tool already does. Same marks in the same places, on your documents.

So you can judge it before you wait for anything. Paste in your least favourite clause and see what comes back. If the redline is not good enough for your work, the desktop version is not either — better to find that out in a minute than after you have paid.

Where your text goes

Your documents never leave your machine. The only thing the app connects to is an update check, and you can switch that off.

Your files are read where they already sit, and no AI service is involved: the comparison is a program on your own machine, not a model your clause is sent away to. It is a warranty in the licence rather than a claim on a website, and your IT team can verify it in an afternoon with a packet capture.

The waiting list

Leave your email and we will tell you when there is something to install. Nothing else.

The other three fields are optional. They help us decide what to build first.

Would rather not use a form? Write to support@redlinepad.com with “desktop” in it — same list, same rules.

You are on the list. We will write when there is something to install, and not before.

That does not look like an email address. Please check it and try again.

That did not pass the spam check. Please try again.

Something went wrong at our end, and you were not added. Please try again, or write to support@redlinepad.com.

Which do you run?

Your address is used for this one thing, and nothing you have compared in the tool is attached to it. The privacy page has the longer version.
